While you might tell yourself that your experiences were not nearly as bad as other people’s that doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to heal and grow.

At Bounce we like to say, “It doesn’t matter if you’re drowning in 3ft of water, or 300ft of water. you’re still drowning.” So while the cause of the trauma might differ from person to person, the symptoms, and the need for healing, are similar.

Everyone deserves to leave their past behind, learn to like themselves, and feel optimistic for the future. Treating Trauma & PTSD

Talk Therapy is Not Enough

At Bounce! we don’t believe that talk therapy on its own can treat PTSD. Talk therapy can be too activating and not effective enough. As such we use EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help you manage your PTSD symptoms and heal from your past. We’ll work with you to develop a plan to target the traumatic experience(s) and then we’ll move at a pace that suits you along the road to feeling better.

Evidence-based Treatments

EMDR is one of the most highly recommended treatments for PTSD in the world. Research has shown that EMDR is extremely effective for PTSD as well as anxiety and panic, depression, and other serious mental health issues.

In person EMDR or online

EMDR therapy can be done in person or online. If we meet in person we use eye movement or tappers (buzzers). For online EMDR therapy we use a light that moves back and forth across the screen. Both are extremely effective.
